Growth and Resilience. This is a natural occurrence in life and we all have story to tell.

Has there been a moment for you or someone you know who has grown from their hardships or have built the resilience to face the worlds challenges head on.

Whether it be in poetry, lyrics, short story, a narrative and scripts. We accept all forms of written pieces entering here at the Logan Writers Festival,

The top twenty entries will go into a charming anthology, curtsy of InHouse Publishing, and be shared with all the winners, libraries, schools and Chambers of Commerce to celebrate the bridging of business and literature.

The winner will recieve .

The top entrant will also be dubbed Logan Laureate for 2022 and bestowed a place on the annual plaque for the Logan Laureates and a win a 'how to publish a book' 5 part series

 

Submit your entry before the 16th of August and come to the Logan Writers Festival to see the winners announced!

Terms and Conditions:

The promoter of this Competition is The Logan Chamber of Commerce & Logan Writers Festival QLD Australia.

  • Entry to the President's Challenge Writer Competition 2022 (the “Competition”) is open to participants of the Logan Writers Festival. An entrant must be an individual and cannot be a company or organisation.

  • Eligible entries must be submitted via email ([email protected]) no later than 11.59pm on Tuesday 16 August 2022.

  • There is no cost to entering the competition.

  • Multiple entries per person, per category will be accepted. Additional entries will be considered.

  • To enter the Competition, each entrant must:

  • Write a poem, short story, article, reflection, song or other form of literary art no shorter than 2,500 & longer than 5000 words, that reflects any of the following themes: Growth & Resilience

  • Submit their entry by Tuesday 16 August 2022 11.59pm through the approved means (email).

  • Entrant can be of any age.

  • By filling and submitting the entry form, each entrant agrees that:

  • All details provided with the entry are true and correct;

  • All work is the original work of the entrant;

  • Each entrant grants to the Logan Chamber of Commerce and Logan Writers Festival and its promotional partners’ exclusive license to exercise all rights, throughout the world in the writing submission and other material provided to the Logan Chamber of Commerce and Logan Writers Festival regarding this promotion at any time;

  • The Logan Chamber of Commerce & Logan Writers Festival, and its partners, may use the entry and any personal details provided for promotional, marketing, and publicity purposes of The Logan Chamber of Commerce in any media without notice and without any fee being paid to the entrant, subject to The Logan Chamber of Commerce's Privacy Policy found at: https://loganwritersfestival.com.au/privacy/

  • The entrants whose entry is judged by the Logan Chamber of Commerce panel of judges to be the most original, creative, how the entrant has constructed the narrative, use of language, (including creative expression, grammar, sentence construction, punctuation, and spelling) as well as character development, atmosphere and setting will be awarded their prize. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Winners will be notified by email.
